The Royal Botanic Gardens, CSIC, greets visitors with several of its collections of living plants in their prime.


From 10 am to 9 pm you can see some of the most beautiful flowers, arrivals from all corners of planet.

In Tables terrace, opposite the entrance to the garden, plants are concentrated most valuable ornamental flower, as the collection of rhododendron (Rhododendron spp.) That are very "photogenic" and complete with its many colorful , a set of singular beauty.

Another botanical collections features is the rose. Also found in the Terrace of Cuadros. There are over 30,000 varieties of roses. Roses are grouped into old and modern roses. The old roses are earlier than 1867, which saw the first hybrid tea, (one of the groups of roses modern). Royal Botanic Gardens meets an important and highly diverse collection of both types of roses.

In May every corner of the garden, flower beds, walks, gazebos, greenhouses, ... competing to offer the visitor the best of themselves. Even the miniature trees, bonsai, live a special spring. In the Upper Terrace and Terrace of the Laurels, is the collection of bonsai, with important examples of the flora of the Iberian Peninsula.
